What people say about this course:

“Many thanks for an interesting and absorbing course.  Over the three days, you gave us all a very comprehensive account of current thinking and resources relating to trauma coaching. I feel more confident in shaping my own approach to conflict coaching and am inspired to try out some additional techniques and resources, now that I have a better idea as to how they fit within the therapeutic framework.” CA, UK Mediator, NLP Practitioner and Coach. – Trauma-Informed Coach training course participant.

“I just want to thank you for the last 3 days, it’s been inspiring, interesting and so many lightbulb moments I’ve lost count. I’ve left today feeling revitalised and knowing that I need to make some changes personally to help me professionally. I’m going to have a look at the skills audit and see what I need to focus on.” JC, UK. Service Manager. – Trauma-Informed Coach training course participant.

“I can’t recommend this course enough. Far too many people can’t deal with clients with trauma Joanna Harper will lead you on a voyage of Discovery & help you learn.” AP, UK, Coach and Advanced IEMT Practitioner – Trauma-Informed Coach training course participant.

”There aren’t many comparisons to Joanna as a  ‘gold star’ trainer of trauma-informed coaching.  Her training is well informed by many years of client work, it’s content-rich and up-to-date. This course is a ‘must have’ for any professional who is committed  ‘to do no harm’. As a breathwork specialist myself, I particularly appreciated the fact that Joanna is aware of conscious bias and is explicit about inclusion and diversity in the examples she draws on. Joanna rebalances euro-centric training content by being mindful of cultural and minoritized perspectives and experiences. This is priceless in an ever-growing field of ‘trauma-informed’ trainers.” DP, Breathwork specialist and Coach – Trauma-Informed Coach training course participant.

Trauma-Informed Coach Training Information

During Coach, NLP Practitioner and IEMT Practitioner Training courses, there is little or no time or scope within the syllabus to explore the impact of trauma on an individual, their relationships and community in depth or detail.

Acute trauma and distress are more easily recognisable. However, the impact of past trauma can be concealed or disguised as a habit or behaviour; for example, the client may make an appointment for help with insomnia or anxiety, which is the symptom, not the cause. For many, the coping strategy is unwanted behaviour, such as smoking or alcohol dependence.

This three-session content-rich workshop is for IEMT and NLP Practitioners, Coaches, and Therapists who want to know and learn more about the impact and effect of trauma and acute and post-traumatic stress disorder on clients.
